If you own a Nintendo WiiU and don’t already have Mario Kart 8– then what are you doing with your life?
Mario Kart 8 comes out with you a total of 32 courses. 16 of the courses are brand spankin’ new, and the other 16 are remastered from previous installments of Mario Kart. The course variety should give you oohs & ahhs, as well as some nostalgic feelings from Mario Kart’s past. The sleek HD graphics are beautiful and help add to the overall experience of Mario Kart 8.
The single player modes are a lot of fun, and playing along through them to unlock different characters, vehicles, accessories, etc. can be a bit of a challenge and a good time. However, as usual, where Mario Kart really shines is the multi-player mode both online and offline. Mario Kart has always been a game best enjoyed with friends. There will be so many laughs, good times, and potentially even some animosity when you are struck from behind with a red shell just before passing the finish line!
Mario Kart 8 almost single-handedly resurrected Nintendo in my eyes. This is one of the best games that I have ever played and I highly recommend it to anyone that’s on the fence about getting it. The best part? This game isn’t even done yet. There will be a DLC released on May 30th, 2015 that is sure to bring more Mario Kart goodies.
